UHF-E

The Embedded UHF PD sensor is designed for mounting inside switchgear for the detection of partial discharge in MV and HV cable terminations or switchgear components, depending on its location and the switchgear design. UHF sensing capability means that internal discharge can be detected with high sensitivity.
The sensor connector should be installed internally and cables routed to the outside of the equipment, either by retrofitting or installation by switchgear manufacturer. The external port can be connected to portable test equipment for occasional spot testing or it can be permanently connected to an on-line PD monitoring system
A specialised high gain, low noise built in amplifier allows detection of very low levels of PD.
