Baur liona
The Baur liona is a portable online PD spot tester for measuring and locating partial discharges in cables and switchgear during normal mains operation. liona lets you test cable systems and electrical equipment online without switching off partial discharge activities, and then generate trend analyses. All it takes is one PD spot test (duration: 5-10 minutes) to reliably assess the current condition of your system.

Viewsafe is the ultimate system for the safe condition monitoring and maintenance of live electrical switchgear assets. Complete Thermal Imaging, Ultrasonic Partial Discharge, Visual inspection as well as gain CO2 Emergency access when required.
viewsafe utilises a PD testing slide to enable safe testing of Partial Discharge whilst the system remains live. The slide has been tested for compatibility with the IPEC PD Detector Pro. Customers incorporating a viewsafe solution may purchase the PDD Pro alongside the window, existing customers can contact IPEC or viewsafe for compatible link cables for the PDD Pro.

Emelec
The i-LinkBox is an advanced monitoring unit for high-voltage underground power cable systems, designed to detect Partial Discharge (PD) by capturing high-frequency current impulses via sheath and bonding cables using PD sensors.
It provides real-time monitoring and transmits data to SCADA systems via GSM, fiber optics or LORA , automatically sending alerts when thresholds are exceeded. Signal conditioning and analog-to-digital conversion ensure accurate, noise-free data.
Beyond PD detection, it features embedded sensors to monitor the link box and cable system’s health, including:
- Sheath bonding & SVL functionality checks via current and voltage measurements
- A pressure sensor for detecting internal faults
- Temperature and humidity sensors to assess risks like condensation
- A water ingress sensor for early leak detection
