The company has had substantial international growth over the last 3 years winning them this prestigious award. The Duke of Kent went on a tour of IPEC, led by Managing Director, Colin Smith, where he saw the R&D facility and spoke to lead engineers about the work they do.

The award was partly gained through the results of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership which took place between the University of Manchester and IPEC Limited. The project saw the increase in market research and distributor management, ultimately leading to an increase in trade overseas.

“The KTP project was designed in conjunction with AMBS and Innovate UK to address the problems and challenges the business faced. From the very beginning the academics were engaged with IPEC to ensure the aim of the project addressed our needs. Dr Ebi Marandi and Dr Judith Zolkiewski were extremely active during the KTP, which enabled IPEC and our KTP associate to take the theoretical knowledge and research and apply this to our market. The company has grown significantly through the KTP and continues to do so, our relationship with Alliance Manchester Business School has even continued beyond the project and both sides are still getting benefit from our partnership”
Carl Eastham, Business Development Director, IPEC Limited.
